PURPOSE:To provide the titled molding material which has plasticity and excellent melt stability during molding and gives moldings having little burr, consisting of polyethylene terephthalate and a vinyl copolymer contg. a specified amount of glycidyl methacrylate. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. in total, of 99.9-50wt% polyethylene terephthalate (A) having an intrinsic viscosity of not lower than 0.35 (in a soln. mixture of 6pts.wt. phenol and 4pts.wt. tetrachloroethane at 35 deg.C), composed of at least 80mol% of etylene terephthalate units and 0.05-5wt% compd. of formula I or II (wherein M and M' are the same or different groups and each is an alkali metal; and n and m are each 1 or 1) and 0.01-50wt% vinyl copolymer (B) having at least 5mol% of glycidyl methacrylate units (e.g., a glycidyl methacrylate/methyl methacrylate copolymer) is blended with 5-100pts.wt. reinforcing agent (C) such as glass fiber having an aspect ratio of not lower than 10, etc., and a halogen-contg. flame retarder or an Sb compd. (D).
