PURPOSE:To facilitate getting-in and -out, maintenance and inspection of the car body in the caption by providing a stage on a step at the front side of an engine or transmission case to form an auxiliary step, and providing openably, closably or removably a cover body on the stage. CONSTITUTION:A passenger car type traveling car body is provided with a car body cover frame 27 for forming a step on the upper portion of a machine body and an engine cover 11 formed integrally with said frame 27. Here a stage 27a is formed in front of pulleys 19, 21 provided on the front side of a main transmission case 1 in the front portion of the step 27, and an auxiliary step 27b is provided to extend forward at the lower end of the stage 27a. And a cover body 9a for covering also a portion facing the stage 27a is removably bolted to the front portion of a handle supporting frame 9. Thus, one can easily get in and out of the car body from the front portion while he can easily maintain and inspect the main transmission case 1 or the like by attaching and detaching the cover body 9a.
