PURPOSE:To improve resolving power and bioassay performance by arranging an image transmitting means and a forceps channel on a straight light in the diameter direction of a nodal ring which passes the nearly middle point between a coupling material and an operation wire and leaving a fine gap among the image transmitting means, forceps channel, and the inner peripheral surface of the nodal ring. CONSTITUTION:Adjacent nodal; rings 7 are coupled rotatably with each other by a couple of right and left coupling materials 8 to form a flexible curved part 6 and a couple of operation wires 9 are arranged axially inside the nodal rings 7. The image transmitting means 13 and forceps channel 17 are arranged on the straight line 30 in the diameter direction of the nodal rings 7 without passing the coupling material 8 nor operation wire 9 in the curved part 6, so the thick image transmitting means 13 and forceps channel 17 can be run in the limited space. Further, a gap (s) of 0.1-0.3mm is left among the image transmitting means 13, forceps channel 17, and inner peripheral surfaces of the nodal rings 7, so irreducible wall thickness enough to avoid breaking is secured at the wall part of the boundary part of a tip main body 5.
