PURPOSE:To obtain a semiconductor laser module with high output which is allowed to converge laser light projected from two light emitting points into one point by constituting the semiconductor laser module of a semiconductor laser element for emitting light from two points, a 1/2 wavelength plate for rotating the deflecting direction of laser light by 90 deg., a multiple image element for coupling a laser light through the 1/2 wavelength plate with a projected laser light and allowing to converge them into one point, and a condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:One laser light (a) out of respective laser light beams (a), (b) projected from the semiconductor laser element 1 is rotated at its deflecting direction by 90 deg. through the 1/2 wavelength plate 4, so that the deflecting directions of respective laser light beams (a), (b) are vertical to each other. Then, respective laser light beams (a), (b) are made incident on the multiple image element 5 through the 1st condenser lens 2a and coupled with each other as one laser light by double refractive property and the coupled laser light is refracted by the 2nd condenser lens 2b and concentrated into one point on the end surface of an optical fiber 3. Consequently, the semiconductor laser element 1 for emitting laser light beams from two points can be coupled with the optical fiber 3 having thin core diameter.
