Rotary engine with a stator of circular cross-section, in which there rotates an eccentric circular rotor; the latter delimit, together with three fins, three combustion compartments. The crankshaft rotates either in the opposite direction to and at the same speed as the rotor, or in the same direction as but three times faster than the rotor. The increase then decrease in volume of each compartment twice per cycle makes it possible to produce four combustion strokes: inlet, compression, expansion and exhaust. Continuous ignition is desired as replacement for discontinuous ignition. This is an additional novel means for industry and locomotion. <IMAGE>
