PURPOSE:To obtain a compact humidifier by providing a humidity absorber belt provided for absorbing a moisture existing in outdoor air, an air heater, and a blower for forcible ventilation through the air heater to the humidity absorbing belt. CONSTITUTION:When outdoor air shown by arrows 15a-15c passes through a humidity absorbing belt 2, the moisture contained in the outdoor air is adsorbed to the humidity absorbing belt 2. The humidity absorbing belt 2 is rotated by a motor 4, and reaches a blow-off port 9 of a blower 5 at a point of time where a certain quantity of the moisture has been adsorbed. Air shown by arrow 14 which is blown-off air from the blower 5 is air of high temperature and high humidity which, after sucked air having flowed in as shown by arrow 13 is heated by an air heater 6 and its relative humidity is lowered, passes through the humidity absorbing belt 2 and deprives the humidity absorbing belt 2 of the moisture. When air shown by arrow 14 is introduced into the indoor A, the indoor side A is heated and humidified with air from the outdoor B.
