The invention relates to an improved method and apparatus for forming sealed joints in a packaging film made of flexible plastic polymer. The apparatus comprises a heating wire 13 of circular transverse section, connected removably to the centre of the bottom of a polymeric layer 12 which is itself fastened to a support frame 13 of an upper element intended to interact with a lower element. The heating wire 13 is supplied with electrical energy by means of a control device 17 so that the temperature of this film is adjusted in order to supply the heat necessary for forming the sealed joints between two layers 10, 10' of a film of flexible plastic polymer.
