METHOD OF POLYDISPERSION MATERIALS PRESSING

In order to produce briquettes from a polydisperse to be pressed while exerting less energy, a polydisperse (7) to be pressed is pushed, with simultaneous preliminary compression, through a channel (3) for moulding the briquettes and is then finally compressed to form a briquette (7'). This process is carried out in the channel (3) by means of a stamp (4), the polydisperse (7) to be pressed being pushed through with simultaneous compression during the forward working stroke of the stamp (4) in the channel (3). In this process, a controllable lateral pressure (N) is applied which acts in a direction which is virtually perpendicular to the displacement in the channel (3) of the polydisperse (7) to be pressed, and is modified from a minimum value, at which the polydisperse (7) to be pressed is pushed through at the same time as preliminary compression takes place, up to a maximum value, at which final compression of the polydisperse (7) to be pressed takes place. The channel (3) is situated in a pressing head (2), to which there is assigned a movable element (5) which comes into contact with the polydisperse (7) to be pressed and is connected to a mechanism (6) which effects displacement of the movable element (5) in a direction which is virtually perpendicular to the displacement in the channel (3) of the polydisperse (7) to be pressed. A stamp (4) which is kinematically connected to a drive (20) reciprocates and ensures that the polydisperse (7) to be pressed enters the channel (3). The mechanism (6) has an eccentric shaft (12) which is kinematically connected to the drive (20) of the stamp (4) and is provided with a connecting rod (14) which is connected to the movable element (5).
