A waveguide switch having three passages (R switches) is described, in the case of which waveguide switch a heat transfer element is arranged between the rotor 2 and the housing 1 of the switch for improved transmission of the heat produced by the power loss on the rotor 2. This heat transfer element consists, in a simplest design, of a pin 4 which is mounted on the rotor and, in the switching positions, rests against a thin metallic strip 9, 12 which is mounted on the stator 1. The strip 9, 12 is arranged such that it can be displaced in such a manner that it is thus possible to determine the position of the rotor 2. In order to form a good contact between the pin 4 and the strip 9, 12, the latter can be produced from a flat braided cable having good heat conductivity. <IMAGE>
