PURPOSE:To remove an external resistance from a drive circuit and to improve the reliability of a stepper motor by using iron wires for part or all of stator windings. CONSTITUTION:The stator windings 16a-16d of a stepper motor 10 are composed by connecting copper wires 17a-17d and iron wires 18a-18d in series. The diameters of the wires are approx. 0.1-0.3mm for the copper wire, and approx. 0.1-0.2mm for the iron wire. Transistors 21a-21d for controlling pulse inputs are connected in series with the windings 16a-16d, respectively.
