PURPOSE:To improve conductivity, light shieldability, surface smoothness, and adhesiveness and to provide higher productivity in inline coating, etc. by dispersing carbon black into a soln. prepd. by dissolving a specific polyester resin into a specific liquid. CONSTITUTION:The water soluble polyester resin which has the characteristic to dissolve or form colloidal particles in hot water is used. The satd. linear polyester having the basic constituting elements essentially consisting of an ester forming monomer contg. arom. and aliphat. dicarboxylic acid as a carboxylic acid component and metallic base of a sulfonic acid corresponding to 5-20mol% of the total content of the carboxylic acid and an ethylene glycol alone or combination system thereof and neopentyl glycol as a glycol component is constitutionally adequate. The carbon black is dispersed into the soln. prepd. by dissolving the polyester resin with a mixture composed of specific org. solvents. The coating compd. having the excellent conductivity, light shieldability, surface smoothness, adhesiveness and coating property is thus obtd.
