PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a buckling and wrinkle by arranging the shaft center position of the upper roll by sliding it to the inlet side or outlet side from the shaft center position of the lower roll in at least one set of forming rolls. CONSTITUTION:The machine base 11 of the roll stand 2 for forming is installed rotatably via a rotary shaft 12 to the reference base 10. The line L connecting both shaft centers O1, O2 of the upper end lower rolls 2a, 2b of the forming stand 2 can be tilted at optional angle by the tilting of the base 11. In the stand 2 forming this slant line L, the deflection of the elongation in the axial direction of the plate edge part does not become zero at the position just under each roll 2a, 2b and the deflection in the axial direction while under forming stage and the stress are maintained constantly approximately, in case of forming a coil material 1. Consequently the generation of the buckling and wrinkle of the plate 1 can be prevented.
