PURPOSE:To suppress the leakage of secrecy at a minimum level by converting a bit of password information on an information recording medium, and the bit of password information within a host computer anew at every use of a password. CONSTITUTION:When a floppy 11 is set on a certain terminal equipment 1, and a start instruction is given, a password transfer instruction 301 is instructed from a host computer system 3. The equipment 1 reads out a bit of password information A, and transfers it to the system 3. At the system 3, a check between the bit of information A and the password within a magnetic disk 31 is performed. And when validity is confirmed, the equipment is permitted to be used in the system 3. At such a time, the system 3 enciphers the bit of password information, and replaces the bit of information A in the disk 31 by a bit of password information A' not in use. And the bit of information A' is sent to the equipment 1, then the bit of information A in the floppy being converted to the bit of information A'. After that, an interactive process is performed. |
