发明名称 LIQUID-TREATMENT PROCESS AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable efficient biological treatment with low energy consumption, by immobilizing microorganisms on the surface of minute inorganic porous material and dispersing the obtained microbial carrier in a liquid to be treated, thereby allowing the carrier to ascend by the adhesion of bubbles and to descend after releasing the bubbles. CONSTITUTION:Microbial carriers composed of microorganisms immobilized on the surface of minute inorganic porous materials (e.g. porous glass material) are dispersed in a liquid to be treated. Gas is bubbled from the bottom of the treating liquid and the carrier attached with bubbles is moved upward by the increased buoyancy of the bubble and then descends through the liquid after separating the bubbles at the surface of the liquid. The upward and downward movements are repeated to enable the contact of the carrier and the liquid to be treated. Accordingly, an efficient biological treatment can be carried out with low energy consumption.
