PURPOSE:To easily control a coin cassette device, by mounting a memory part, in which cassette information is previously stored, to the coin cassette device and constituting said device such that when it is mounted to a coin processing machine main unit, the cassette information is optically and contactlessly transmitted to the coin processing machine main unit. CONSTITUTION:When a coin cassette device is used, first various kinds of cassette information are stored in a PROM35, mounted to a control circuit 20 additionally provided in the coin cassette device, by using a ROM writer or the like. Next, the coin cassette device 10 is mounted to a coin processing machine main unit, connecting a power source and a driving rotary shaft while giving an optical signal to and receiving it from an input/output circuit 123 of the coin processing machine main unit. And the mounted coin cassette device is confirmed for whether it is proper or not by a cassette discriminating control part 140 of the coin processing machine main unit. Whether said device is proper or not is confirmed by feeding out the cassette information stored in the PROM35 in accordance with a change of an address signal from a binary counter 34 serving as a read control part through a data output part 33.
