FILTER HAVING CLEANUP MECHANISM OF FILTER MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To perform both the cleanup of a filter medium and the discharge of filter cake in an in-line process by scraping down filter cake collected by the filter medium by means of a brush which is subjected to the reciprocatively rotating motion at <360 deg. angle in the inside of a filter drum. CONSTITUTION:Raw liquid introduced into the inside of a filter drum 2 wherein the seal between the raw liquid and filtrate is performed by a discoid contact- frictional plate 9 is passed through a filter medium of the filter drum 2 and filtered and thereafter discharged through the gap between an outer drum 1 and the filter drum 2. On the other hand, filter cake collected on the filter medium is scraped down by a brush 3 and stored in a reservoir 8 for filter cake. Since the brush 3 is not rotated around all circumferences of the filter drum 2 but reciprocatively rotated while leaving one part, the filter cake scraped by the brush 3 is collected to the left part of the filter drum 2 in a period of contrarotation and dropped.
