PURPOSE:To prevent a change in the color tone of the Ti bases of personal ornaments by forming a titanium nitride film having a prescribed ratio of Ti/Ni on the surface of each of the personal ornaments made of Ti (alloy) by PVD before coating with an org. masking agent. CONSTITUTION:A gray titanium nitride film 3 having 1.7/1-2.3/1 atomic ratio of Ti/Ni is formed on the surface of each of personal ornaments made of Ti (alloy) such as a Ti case personal ornaments 4. Part of the surface of the film 3 is coated with an org. masking agent 2, and a colored film 1 such as a black film is formed on the film 3 and the masking agent 2 by PVD such as ion plating. The masking agent 2 is then removed by immersion in a removing agent.
