Monoclonal antibodies, IgGs is sepd. from mouse ascites fluids by utilizing liq. chromatog, and polyethyleneimine-bound silica gel or the reaction product of silica gel and polyethylenimino propyl trimethoxy silane as chromatog. packing. Thus, mouse ascites fluides equilibrated at pH 6.73 and 10mM phosphate are applied to PEI-silica gel column (0.46 X 250mm) and eluted with essentially baseline resolution by using a 60-min linear gradient from 0.01 M K-phosphate (pH 6.73) to 0.25 M K-phosphate (pH 6.80) at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/ min.
