In order to be able to accommodate the large supply of characters on daisywheels required in modern typewriters, printers have been developed, in which two types are arranged on a single stem in each case in the radial direction of the stem of the daisywheel. In this case, a switch-over device is required for switching over to the desired row of types. The invention is based on the object of providing a switch-over device for a daisywheel (13) with two rows of types arranged concentrically, which device requires little drive output and allows the daisywheel (13) to be switched over rapidly and with little noise in the simplest possible manner. This object is achieved in that the rotary adjustment shaft (11) is arranged with the daisywheel (13) and the drive motor (25) on a swivel bearing (27) which can be swivelled about an axis of rotation (29). This axis of rotation (29) lies in the vicinity of the point of intersection of the horizontal plane associated with the inclined faces of the types (17, 19) and the vertical plane defined by the centre of gravity of the mass to be switched over.
