PURPOSE:To prevent a erroneous correction of a time data due to a defective operation by detecting a state of the data memory and by selecting and setting both the setting mode and the display mode according to said detection result in an electronic watch that stores the time data in the data memory and displays it. CONSTITUTION:When a time is set, the mode changeover switch 19 is turned to the contact a, the hour-minute quick-feed switches 27, 28 are operated to set a time data set in the set-display part 21 exactly, the input switch 26 is operated, and consequently an exact time data is transfered to the watch unit 3. When the mode changeover switch 19 is turned to the contact b, the content of the watch unit 3 is transfered to the set-display part 21 and displayed. Also when a time of operating the alarm is set, the mode changeover switch 19 is turned to the contact c, the alarm operation time data is stored in the alarm memory 5 like the case of a time correction. When the alarm operation time is stored, the alarm operation time setting mode is changed to the alram operation time display mode in the operation mode memory 20. |
