A transcutaneous pin for fixation of a bone part or fragment comprising a threaded portion, the anterior portion of which takes the form of a truncated leading cone, and at least one flute defining a cutting edge extending over said truncated cone of the threading and over the beginning of the central cylindrical portion of said threading, to perform a tapping operation when the end of the threaded portion penetrates the bone part or fragment, characterised in that the flute(s) is(are) disposed helicoidally in relation to the axis of the thread, with the helix and the thread being pitched in the same direction.</p> |
