PURPOSE:To attain the discontinuation of a program to be debugged and to ensure the more effective debug of a real device by comparing the input or output of an input/output port with the break port data in a break action mode. CONSTITUTION:When a break action is carried out in a debugging mode, the data are set to a break data setting circuit 9 and a break point control circuit 11 before a control CPU 1 carries out a program to be debugged through an emulation CPU 5. That is, the break port data is set to the circuit 9 and the permission/inhibition conditions, etc., are set to the circuit 11 respectively. Then a port data comparator 10 compares the data on an input or output port with the data set to the circuit 9 after the CPU 5 starts the execution of said subject program. Thus the circuit 11 outputs the stop request signal to the CPU 5 to stop the execution of the program after the coincidence signal is supplied to the circuit 11. This ensures the more effective debug of a real device.
