PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of an information processor by using a work fixing means which fixes previously the work mode displayed on the initial picture when a power supply is applied to a work mode desired by an operator. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply is applied, a CPU 1 reads the data by pictures out of a magnetic memory device 11 and decides the classification of a picture. All works are displayed in an initial mode and a work mode desired by an operator is supplied through a keyboard 3. If the input work mode indicates the picture selection processing, i.e., a work fixing processing, the picture selection processing is carried out. In other words, a work selection picture is displayed on a CRT 7 and the desired work mode is selected out of the picture on the CRT 7 with key input and stored in the device 11. Thus the desired work can be executed immediately after application of the power supply by fixing previously the desired work mode. This can improve the working efficiency of an information processor.
