PURPOSE:To improve operability by updating a reproduction block in accordance with an external trigger signal when action failure is set as an interval time. CONSTITUTION:Each track on a magnetic sheet 1 is accessed by moving heads 3-1 and 3-2 in the radial direction of the sheet 1, and reproduced block is updated. An interval time setting switch 57 is turned on to operate ten-keys 63-72, whereby the interval drive of the heads 3-1 and 3-2 is made. If the interval time is set to zero, the interval drive of the heads 3-1 and 3-2 becomes impossible. In such a case, the external trigger signal is supplied from a terminal connected to a printer 13' to drive the heads 3-1 and 3-2. Thus operability can be improved.
