PURPOSE:To perform chamfering machining with high efficiency, by a method wherein objects to be machined are placed on a disc-shaped grinding stone, the objects to be machined are surrounded with a cylindrical wall plate positioned eccentrically to the grinding stone, and the grinding stone is rotated. CONSTITUTION:A holding part 2 for an object to be machined is raised in the direction of an arrow mark 10b, objects W to be machined are placed on a grinding stone 6, and the holding part 2 is then lowered in the direction of an arrow mark 10a. In which case, the objects W to be machined are contained in a containing space 13 in a state to be pressed by a press plate 15. Polishing liquid 3 is then fed through a nozzle 17 in the containing space 13, and a grinding stone 6 is rotated in the direction of an arrow mark 9. The objects W to be machined are moved to the wall plate 12 side by means of a centrifugal force, and are rotated integrally with the grinding stone 6. A difference in a circumferential velocity between the grinding stone 6 and the works to be machined is produced by dint of the weight of the object W to be machined, and the objects W to be machined are rolled over the grinding stone 6. As a result, the edge of the work W to be machined is polished for chamfering. Since grinding is effected in a manner described above, machining efficiency is improved. |
