PURPOSE:To automatically and efficiently form a minute fish hook by installing a material on a spiral bar disposed at a specified interval for a diameter, by feeding transversely along a groove with a rotation of the spiral bar by working successively to cut, to beat a lead part, to hook a needle part, to bend the needle part. CONSTITUTION:A pair of spiral bars 1a, 1b having 2-2.5mm diameter D1 are arranged at a distance 2.4-4.5mm so that the interval S1 between both centers of said bars is (1.2-1.8)D1. The material with a needle part 12 at the top end is erected on the spiral bars 1a, 1b rotating in the same direction by a driving motor 20 and interlocking gears 22, etc., fed transversely by the grooves of the spiral bars 1a, 1b, cut in a prescribed length L2 by a cutter 16. Then the lead part 14 is formed by beating with a lead part beating machine 17, the needle hook part 15 is formed by hooking with a needle hooking machine 18, the needle part 13 is formed by bending with a needle U-bending machine 19 then discharged. When the minute fish hook such as 2-3 size is formed, if D1 and S1 are chosen according to said relation, the strength of spiral bars and the feeding condition become excellent to form the minute fish hook automatically and efficiently.
