PURPOSE:To prevent the occurring of the disturbance of an apparent interface in a child picture by judging the presence and absence of the disturbance of the interface at the time of reading address to a memory circuit passes a writing address. CONSTITUTION:A parent child image displaying device 21 provides an address correcting circuit 22 between an address control circuit 13 and a field memory circuit 12, and corrects the reading address of a field memory circuit so that the disturbance of the interface concerning a child picture cannot occur. At present, when the parent picture and the child picture are even fields, the output of respective field deciding circuits 23 and 24 comes to be a low level, the output of a logical circuit 26 comes to be also the low level, and therefore, the address correction is not executed. When the parent picture and the child picture are odd fields or when the parent picture and the child picture are different fields, the output of the logical circuit 26 goes to be a high level, at the time of the occurrence of the passage, the address of one line is added to an adder 26 and the address correction is executed.
