PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner which is of a thin construction and has a small space for installation and improve blast efficiency with uniform air flow distribution by providing in an air conditioner housing which is square- shaped a heat exchanger and a belt-shaped blower and tilting this belt shaped blower. CONSTITUTION:The housing 1 of an air conditioner contains a heat exchanger 4 and a belt type blower 5. With this arrangement the air which is sucked from the front face changes its direction at once at right angle direction and the air is discharged from a blow-out opening 3. Since the moving vanes 6 of a belt-shaped blower 5 are arranged obliquely, the rear face of the housing 1 decelerates smoothly the air flow sent out from a belt-shaped blower 5 and plays the role of a guide plate which changes the direction of air to the direction substantially at right angle to the upper air blow-out opening 3. |
