PT--81774 A An aq. elastomer dispersion contg. micro-shapes is applied to the leather substrate, dried at 20-120 deg.C and pressed at 80-120 deg.C against a plate engraved with the desired pattern. Finally, opt. coloured polymer coatings are applied to give the desired shade, brilliance and texture. Alternatively, the themoplastic material can be applied from a smooth or embossed siliconised transfer paper to the leather treated with adhesive. The micro-sphere shells are made of a different elastomer and filled with a gas occupying at least 25% of the total volume of the spheres.
