PURPOSE:To reduce noise produced by a rotary enclosed compressor by providing a muffling movable body which slides in the direction of a main spindle, in a cylindrical space which is formed in a cylinder while connected to a muffling space in a valve cover. CONSTITUTION:A valve cover 7 having a muffling space which is connected to a discharge port 5 is provided on a main bearing 2 fixed to the side part of a cylinder 4. And, a cylindrical space 9 which is long in the direction of amain spindle and connected to said muffling space is provided in the cylinder 4, while a muffling movable body 10 which slides in the longitudinal direction is housed in the cylindrical space 9. Thereby, pressure fluctuation in the muffling chamber can also be absorbed by the axial movement of the muffling movable body 10 lowering noise produced by the pressure fluctuation.
