The expansion sleeve (7), interacting with a conical expansion part formed at one end of a shank, has a continuous separating slot (12) which has a helical progression. Opposite said separating slot (12), with respect to the longitudinal axis (7a) of the sleeve, there is provided a further slot (13) which likewise has a helical progression. This second slot (13) ends just in front of one end side (8) of the expansion sleeve (7), as a result of which a web (16) is formed, via which the two sleeve parts (14, 15) are connected to each other in an articulated manner. Since the two slots (12, 13) do not extend in the direction of a surface line (M, M') of the expansion sleeve (7), but run transversely with respect to said surface lines, good anchoring of the anchor screw is achieved, even if there are cracks in the material enclosing said anchor screw, and the latter is additionally subjected to impact-type loading. <IMAGE>
