The invention relates to a protective device for a knee exhibiting signs of weakness and instability of varied origins. It is characterised in that a neoprene knee support 4 is made, in one or more parts with a central protection comprising two leather sheaths 7 positioned vertically on each of the external sides with the purpose of receiving a rigid reinforcement 8 and 9 hinged at 10. The knee support comprises four elastic straps 13, 14, 15, 16 fitted with "velcro" 17 for effective fastening to the knee of the user. The reinforcement consists of two curved parts comprising a lateral stop, both parts being connected through an axis of rotation following the set of washers opposite the holes in order to receive the stainless steel rivet and the brake washer, the flat reinforcement is placed outside the knee and the curved reinforcement is placed inside the knee for accurate and efficient support of the knee of the user. <IMAGE>
