In order to improve the running characteristics of a ski (1) with a spring board (2) which does not break out in the rear region in the case of short curves and when travelling diagonally on steep slopes during downhill skiing, the mass forces occurring of the skier, which are transmitted approximately in the vertical continuation from the lower leg to the ski boot, are supported resiliently in relation to the ski (1) at least at one point between the articulated connection of the front and rear ends of the spring board (2). In order to improve rigidity against twisting and lateral stability of the spring board (2) in relation to the ski (1), the spring board (2) is connected by its front and rear ends to the surface of the ski in an articulated manner so that the spring board (2) describes a vertical movement and in the longitudinal axis of the ski a horizontal movement relative to the surface of the ski. <IMAGE> |
