摘要 The subject of the invention serves to recover and store braking energy in electric vehicles. The field of application and use are municipal buses, feeder vehicles and collection vehicles, generally motor vehicles which carry out frequent braking and starting-up cycles. The essential feature of the subject of the invention is the combination of an electric motor with a flywheel mass which serves as a gyroscopic energy accumulator and the arrangement of an infinitely variable transmission system in the flux path to the travelling gear. In this way, the means of transferring energy between the gyroscopic energy accumulator and the travelling gear is provided by the infinitely variable transmission system, serving to transmit power between the electric motor and the travelling gear, without other constructional outlay, in addition, the flywheel mass which is arranged on the electric motor serves to buffer power. The electric motor can thus be operated (intermittently) in its optimum working range. Power peaks are absorbed by the gyroscopic energy accumulator and stored. Moderate and uniform battery loads benefit the charge capacity and service life of the battery. The constant form of energy for the transfer of braking energy (in contrast with known research models of this kind) is also advantageous and as a result of this and of the low-loss bevel-gear flexible drive mechanism this means of transferring energy is very efficient.
