A method for registering navigation data of vehicles from a road map (12) is proposed, by which travelling routes are executed by means of a pen (25) over transparent foils having a conductive layer (15, 16) on one foil side, by inputting the positions of the pin (25) into a navigation device (28). A rapid and accurate low-wear data input is achieved by the fact that the two foils (13, 14) face one another with their conductive layers (15, 16) and are placed on top of one another with little spacing by means of a spacer (17) in such a manner that, when the pen (25) is placed onto the upper foil (14), the conductive layers (15, 16) of the two foils are electrically brought into contact at the point (A) located underneath the pen (25). By applying a switchable measuring voltage to one of the foils, a coordinate value of the pen (25) is determined via the contact point (A) and the potential existing at that point. <IMAGE> |
