<p>A stainless steel article having a solderability is obtained by electroplating a stainless steel material with nickel to an extent such that the resulting nickelplated material exhibits a color tone intermediate between the color tone of stainless steel and the color tone of nickel, and immediately thereafter, electroplating the nickel-plated gold, silver or palladium, or an alloy thereof, to an extent such that the resulting plated material exhibits a color tone intermediate between the color tone of the nickel-plated material and the color tone of the gold, silver, palladium or alloy thereof used.</p> |
