PURPOSE:To display a successive picture and to perform a loop movie processing by reading one of a high order bit side or a low order bit side of respective frames while the other one is transferred to a display memory, enlarging and displaying to display the successive picture. CONSTITUTION:When an operation is started, a half frame 1 of a picture memory 10 of a picture controller 1 is transferred to the low order bit side of the display memory, then, an enlargement ratio is transferred and the enlargement processing is carried out. Then, when it is not completed, the ratio is transferred to an LUT1 to perform the enlargement processing and an enlargement display processing is executed in a display part 24. During such a processing, a half frame 2 of the next even number is transferred to the high order bit side of the display memory 20, at the end step of the transfer, an MPU11 waits for the instruction from a picture display device 2. When the half frame 2 is transferred to the display memory and the contents of the display memory can be displayed, an LUT1/2 change over circuit 15 is operated to transfer an LUT2, the picture of the half frame 2 is enlarged in an enlargement processing circuit 23, and processed in a display processing circuit 240 to enlarge and display. Thereby, the display of the successive picture can be performed.
