PURPOSE:To add a function as an electronic blackboard to a conventional blackboard by assembling incorporatedly a photoelectric converter, a light source and a signal processing circuit or the like in one containing box so as to move the box along a read object face. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 3 to move the containing box 1 along the face of the blackboard 2 is fitted to the bottom of the box 1. Further, a rod lens module 5 is arranged at the inside of a glass 4 of a bottom and the reflected light from the blackboard 2 is led to the photodetection face of the photoelectric transducer 8 fitted to the bottom of the control circuit unit 6 provided to the upper face of the box 1 and the signal processing unit 7. Further, a light source 9 is provided adjacent to the lens module 5. On the other hand, a detector 10 detecting the moving extent of the box 1 is fitted to the shaft of the wheel 2. The moving extent of the box 1 is inputted to a control circuit unit 6. Then the image described on the blackboard 2 is recorded as a hard copy on a printer by using the control circuit unit 6 and the signal processing unit 7.
