PURPOSE:To obtain a Ta amorphous alloy excellent in mechanical properties and corrosion resistance by using an alloy which is principally composed of Ta and to which Si and/or B is added. CONSTITUTION:A chamber is divided into upper and lower parts, and a crucible 1 divided into right and left blocks and capable of opening and shutting right and left by means of a rod 6 is placed in the closed state in the upside chamber. A material alloy 2 consisting of 75-90at% Ta and the balance Si and/or B is placed in the crucible 1 and melted by plasma torch 5. When a gas is introduced from a gas-introducing hole 7 into the upside chamber and the downside chamber is evacuated with a vacuum pump 8 and then the rod 6 is pulled to the outside so as to open the crucible 1, the molten material alloy 2 falls into a nozzle 3 made of boron nitride. Then, owing to the pressure difference between the upside and downside chambers, the material alloy 2 is sprayed through the nozzle 2 onto the surface of a rotating roll 4, so that Ta amorphous alloy foil which is rapidly cooled and made amorphous can be formed. |
