PURPOSE:To prevent cloggings caused by microbe growing fat by fixing comprehensively and separately anaerobic microbe and aerobic microbe to macromolecular gel, which are filled separately as filtering mediums. CONSTITUTION:An anaerobic zone 2 and an aerobic zone 3 are provided in a cylindrical container 1, and an aeration unit is provided under the aerobic zone 3. Then, pellets of fermenting bacteria and methane fermenting bacteria are filled in the anaerobic zone 2, while BOD decomposing bacteria are filled in the aerobic zone 3. Air is supplied into the aerobic zone 3 by the aeration unit for treatment of waste water. By said process, not only SS but also BOD and N are efficiently removed.
