PURPOSE:To attain recording/reproduction/erasure of information with longer service life by reproducing a signal depending on the difference of the static capacitance between a coloring section and a color erasure section. CONSTITUTION:The 1st layer I and the 3rd layer are ZnS vapor deposition films, the 2nd layer II is a MgF2 vapor deposition film, the 4th layer IV is a layer formed by mixing benzothiopyran group spiropyrane and polyvinylchloride - vinylidene chloride copolymer in the weight ratio of 1:2 by spinner coating and the 5th layer V is an Ag vapor deposition film from the side of a transparent base 11. Since the wavelength of an interference notch of the coloring state A is deviated from 740nm by nearly 25nm in comparison with the decoloring state, the ratio of the coloring state to the decoloring state in eta is expressed as 765/740=1.03. The relation between the of epsilon=eta<2> exists between the specific dielectric constant epsilon and the eta and the relation of epsilon coloring/epsilon decoloring =(765/740)<2>=1.07 exists. Since the static capacitance of the coloring part and the decoloring part differs, the read of a recorded signal is attained. Thus, the information recording/reproduction/erasure with longer service life is attained.
