PURPOSE:To prevent misoperation and variation in quality of treated water by providing a detecting section of a water monitor on a recessed part of the top of weir plate. CONSTITUTION:Treated water flows into a monitoring tank 16 through a charge tube 3, passes through the upper part of top 18 of weir 15 and flows into a discharge tank 17. Treating water undergoes pH detection at a detecting section 12 and is discharged out of a discharge tube 7, provided the same is of fixed value. When treated water carrying abnormal pH flows into the monitoring tank 16 through a charge tube 3 caused by sudden variations in raw water quality or troubles of drainage facilities and the like, abnormal pH is detected with the detecting section 12 of a pH indicating alarm 11 to stop treating water flowing into the monitoring tank 16, while treated water is circulated back to a raw water tank through a circulation pipe 8 by operating a circulation pump 9 to prevent treated water having abnormal pH from being discharged.
