A panelled cladding for walls comprises mutually parallel bordering strips which are connected, on their rear sides, to spacer strips, parallel thereto and provided with retaining parts, and which enclose wall-cladding elements in the form of panels between them and the retaining parts. In order to provide a corner configuration, which is of simple construction and is simple to mount, for such a cladding angled spacer strips (1) are arranged between two spacer strips (18) with mutually parallel outer sides in order to form a corner, and the outer sides (6, 7), running at an angle with respect to one another, of said spacer strips (1) are parallel to the corresponding inner sides (8, 9) which run at an angle with respect to one another. The retaining parts are formed on the inner edge regions of the spacer strips (1, 18) by step-like, longitudinally running cutouts (10, 11, 19, 20), the height of which corresponds to the thickness of the wall-cladding elements (13) and is covered by the bordering strips (12, 21) in order to form retaining grooves for the wall-cladding elements (13) (Figure 1). <IMAGE> |
