PURPOSE:To display the time of a remote area, with a time difference being set between the remote area and the point where the time of the remote area is displayed, with a simple constitution, by finding the time of the remote area by adding the time difference data to displaying time data and displaying the time thus found in a display section. CONSTITUTION:Time information is transferred to a terminal device 3 from the high-accuracy clock function 2 of a switchboard 1. Upon receiving the time information, the clock function 4 of the terminal device 3 is corrected in time and the corrected time is supplied to a display section 5 and displayed. By installing a time difference data storing memory 6 to the terminal device 3, the sum of the time difference data set in the memory 6 by operating a function key, etc., and the tine displaying data from the clock function 4 is calculated. The calculated result is supplied to the display section 5 and a time following the time difference data is displayed.
