PURPOSE:To enable a verification corresponding to secularly changing measured values and errors in the group of data to be checked by calculating the checking information on an object from the past data of the object and the data of the same group as the object. CONSTITUTION:The past data of an animal to be measured this time are obtained, for example, from a memory device 4. Then, the mean changing rate of measured values is obtained by a normal range calculating means 6 from past several time data and, from the mean changing rate and the preceding measured values, an expected measured value at this time is obtained. Further, a normal range is so determined that each of upper and lower halves has the constant percentage of the expected measured value at a rate proportional to the mean changing rate. Then, a comparing means 8 compares the measured values of an object to be measured and the normal range for the object from the normal range calculating means 6 with each other and judges whether the measured values exceed the normal range. When the measured values exceed the normal range, a warning is given from a warning means 10 by the signals from the comparing means 8. Thus, errors in a measurement can be easily and properly indicated.
