PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent water from finding its way into an opening even if a deck is washed directly with waves by sealing a section between an annular flange tip of an inner edge and a hatch. CONSTITUTION:On an edge of an opening 2 formed on a deck 1 is integrally formed a coaming section 6 by bending the edge upward, with a separately formed annular flange of an L-shaped cross section outside the annular flange 6 fixed to form a trough section 17 between the flanges 6 and 15. Seal members 18 and 19 in close, tight contact with the back surface of a hatch 5 are mounted on the tips of the respective annular flanges 6 and 15. A water drain hole 20 communicating with the trough section 17 is formed in both corners of the stern side edge of the outer annular flange 15. On the back surface of the hatch 5 on the other hand is integrally formed a water rejecting annular projection 21 in the middle section between the seal members 18 and 19.
