PURPOSE:To improve heating efficiency in an air conditioner selecting one of a plurality of air conditioning modes for automatic control in a bus, by selecting the mode from a difference between room temperature and set temperature and stopping a cooler when the mode is in the maximum heating mode. CONSTITUTION:When actual compartment temperature signal 6 and set temperature signal 7 are supplied to the input of a controller 1, a reference signal is generated from the calculation of the deviation between both temperatures 6, 7 so that one of air conditioning modes is selected from the range of capacity selected on the basis of the reference signal. And the heat exchanger capacity of a heater core 3 and an evaporator 2 is controlled according to the selected mode. Then, when the selected mode is the maximum heating mode, a refrigerant compressor is stopped to stop the function of the evaporator 2. Thus, an abrupt change in blast temperature is prevented to improve the heating efficiency. |
