SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To reduce the lowering of the sensitivity of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material when the sharpness is improved with a filter layer, by incorporating silver halide particles having a specified average aspect ratio into a silver halide emulsion layer and a nondiffusible red absorbing dye and/or a nondiffusible green absorbing dye into a nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer. CONSTITUTION:Silver halide particles having >=5:1 average aspect ratio are incorporated into at least one of silver halide emulsion layers, and a nondiffusible red absorbing dye and/or a nondiffusible green absorbing dye is incorporated into at least one of nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layers. The especially preferred average aspect ratio is 8:1-20:1. Typical concrete examples of the green and red absorbing dyes used are represented by formulae 1, 2, respectively.
