PURPOSE:To prevent generation of eccentric heat by a method wherein a preheating device is formed by providing a heater, which is ON-OFF controlled by detecting the temperature at the inlet part of the liquid-cooled cooling plate of a uniform magnetic field coil, is provided a an appropriate position of a liquid-cooled cooling device, the uniform magnetic field coil is preheated to the temperature of operation, and the temperature of the uniform magnetic field coil is maintained at the operating temperature making it possible to prevent the heat from deviation. CONSTITUTION:The preheating device 30 is composed of a heater 31, consisting of a pipe heater and the like, which is internally installed by utilizing a liquid vessel 9 provided for breathing and supply of the cooling liquid 100 such as cooling water, oil and the like and to store the cooling water, a temperature sensor 33 with which the temperature of the inlet part of the cooling liquid of the liquid-cooled cooling plate 3 arranged on a uniform magnetic field coil 1 in a tightly contacted manner is detected, and a temperature regulator 32 with which the heater 31 is ON-OFF controlled at the operating temperature T1 of the uniform magnetic coil by receiving the output signal from the temperature sensor 33. As a result, the entire uniform magnetic field coil including the cooling plate can be maintained at the operating temperature T1, and the temperature difference in vertical direction of the coil, which is the so-called eccentric heat, and the thermal distortion of the coil generated due to said eccentric heat can be removed almost completely.
