PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compsn. capable of producing a joint sheet having excellent calender working and stress relaxation properties, by blending rubber with a fiber, a sulfate of a metal belonging to the Group II of the periodic table, and a rubber chemical in particular proportions. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. rubber, such as natural rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber, is mixed with 50-500pts.wt. fiber (e.g., aromatic polyamide fiber or phenolic resin fiber), 50-500pts.wt. sulfate of a metal belonging to the Group II of the periodic table (e.g., barium sulfate or calcium sulfate) and a rubber chemical (e.g., vulcanizing agent or antioxidant) to obtain an intended joint sheet compsn. The use of this compsn. enables a joint sheet having excellent flexibility and stress relaxation properties to be easily produced.
